Hi TimeBankers! Happy Valentine’s Day. We’re sending you lots of love this month. Check out what we’ve got going on, you’re going to love it!
We did the polar plunge! Big thanks to Sarah and the Benton Penguins for jumping in the frozen lake to raise some money for the TimeBank. Wow, that’s commitment. We appreciate it so much. Thanks additionally to everyone who came out to support and cheer them on. Check out the pictures and this video on our facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/DaneCountyTimebank/videos/10155349047327864/ Speaking of facebook, if you haven’t liked our page yet, go do it. It’s a great way to keep in touch and see what’s happening. Here’s the link to our page: https://www.facebook.com/DaneCountyTimebank/
While we’re talking technology, we’ve got news. If you use a phone to access our site, try viewing it here: https://m.danecountytimebank.org/. This is our app and it looks great on phones. There is a place to share feedback on how it’s working for you, so please let us know how we can improve it. We've also made some improvements to our search page for offers and requests. Check it out: https://danecountytimebank.org/search/exchange
In response to your request for more member events, we’ve got a lot of things planned! Check out our newly remodeled events page to learn about our upcoming events. We hope to see you there. We have a lot of exciting events coming up including Gentle Yoga on Sat, 2/17 and the Circle Up documentary screening and panel discussion on Saturday, 3/10. After that we’ll Co-Sponsor a Wellness Expo in April and have our first Sharefest of the year in May. Click here https://danecountytimebank.org/events to see more event details, including our list of Co-Sponsors for our Circle Up event. Mark your calendars, these are going to be great.
If you’re looking for other ways to get involved, we’ve got a lot of opportunity. The TimeBank is looking to form the following member teams to help us get exchanges and activities flowing. Please contact us to learn more and get involved. We will keep you posted as these teams develop.
Teams forming now include:
Events: We’re looking for a team of members to help us put on amazing events. Contact email@example.com to learn more and get involved in the fun.
Community Justice: This team will help to support our restorative justice efforts around our youth court and our other community justice projects. If you’re interested in connecting to support our restorative justice efforts contact firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
Transportation: Everyone knows there is a huge demand for transportation help in our community. We’re looking to build our team of drivers to help people get where they need to go. If you’re interested in joining our transportation team contact email@example.com.
The Connectors: We’re aiming to help people connect and make more exchanges and we’re building a team of people to help boost activity. This team will include member coordinators and others who will work with members to get people signed up, assist with matchmaking, do follow up calls to new members, connect with members who haven’t made an exchange in awhile, invite people to events, and more. For more information and to connect with this team contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We are in the process of scheduling the first meeting for this team, so keep your eye on our events calendar and facebook page or email us for the date, time, and location of the first meeting.
